I think it was the song "Mere Sapnon Ki Rani" that brought me running to the entertainment box.. nd there I sat to watch this old, yet beautiful movie.

Call me old fashioned, but there is something lovely, innocent, dignified in these old movies. The herione looks great and even sexy but yet she has not exposed herself.

Both Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila have acted so well. I love watching the dimples play upon Sharmila's cheeks.

Sigh.... they dont make such movies anymore.

  2. Excellent taste,

As highlighted by yourself, the sad part is that, they dont make such movies anymore.

When they do try, they come out with total crap.

now.. when they did a remake for Devdas.... AAAARRRGHHHHH.. they screwed up umraao jaan as well, we all know what they did to Don..

so i guess its best if they DONT try to make movies like that. there is no point in remaking a classic if you cant do justice to the original.

somethings are betta off left alone.

yeah they could have it digitally mastered or somethin.. like when they came out with Mughal e Azam.. in color.. see, now that is cool.

but dont try to remake mughal e azam with STARS who cant act (some cant even pronounce the words right).

  3. i saw aradhana at TVM actually. I think it was Ajantha, not sure, was it 1970 or 71? All time favorites 'kora kagez tha' song and SDB's 'Saphal hogi'

  4. aradhana is one of the first hindi movie to strike at a malayali's heart.. it is terrific direction and different from the usual hindi stuff.. Sharmila at her best!!i saw it in aleppey way back and on TV too..
